Periodontal Services

Periodontal disease, an inflammation and infection of the gum tissues, affects nearly half of American adults. Dr. Callejo and his staff want their patients to have the best dental care possible in order to correct periodontitis, gingivitis, and even just minor inflammation.

Periodontal disease occurs when pockets of bacteria form in the gum tissue adjacent to teeth. As the bacteria grows, it eats away at the healthy tissue that supports the tooth structure. If periodontal disease is not treated in a timely manner, the patient is likely to lose his or her teeth. Periodontal disease is the number one reason for tooth loss later in life.
